MISS UNIVERSE SRI LANKA 2010

Ishanka Madurasinghe, 23, is the new Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2010. A history student, she won the title tonight during a glittering gala in Colombo. She beat out 11 other competitors for the right to represent Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2010.

MISTER GOLAZO DE HOY

Today's Mister Golazo is Germany's Miroslav Klose, who is not South American or even German (by birth), but Polish. In any event, his two goals were key to Germany's rout over Argentina 4-0 during the World Cup quarterfinal soccer match at the Green Point stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, Saturday, July 3, 2010.

Beauty School's Dean Harris designated the Mister Golazo title for South Americans only, but, como se dice en español, así es la vida. Germany is to soccer and the World Cup what Venezuela is to pageants and Miss Universe. There is no denying this fact, no matter how much you want to.

MISS MOSCOW 2010

Miss Moscow celebrated its 15th anniversary on Thursday night. The winner was Natalia Perevierseva, 23 and a finance student. She beat out 32 other competitors and will represent Moscow in the next Miss Russia pageant.

MISS UNIVERSE ITALY 2010

Miss Universe Italy 2010 is Jessica Cecchini, 20, from Borogsesia in the Piedmont region. She won the title last night in a glittering, outdoor gala at the Teatro Antico Greco Romano in Taormina.

MISS UNIVERSE GUAM 2010

Miss Universe Guam 2010 was crowned last night. She is Vanessa Laguana Siguenza Torres. First runner-up, winning the title of Miss International Guam, was Lalaine Mercado. Second runner-up was Aysha Oner. The newly crowned Miss Universe Guam will be an ambassador for Guam's tourism agency and compete in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant in August.
