The best thing about the Baile from Beauty School's perspective is the election of the Rei e Rainha do Baile, in which gorgeous Brazilian men and women compete for the coveted title. The contest more the amply shows that Brazilians are the most gorgeous and gorgeously endowed people in the world! And of course, speakjng of ample, Dean Harris adores any contest that features Brazilian men showcased in their sungas!

Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron of Virginia

02-feb-2010, Multichannel News: TLC's Jan. 30 Miss America 2010 telecast drew 4.5 million viewers, a record showing for the 89-year old beauty pageant on cable. The Miss America 2010 show, in which Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron won the coveted crown, improved on last year's 3.5 million performance, according to Nielsen. The show also set cable viewership records for the pageant in several key demos, including households, adults 18-49; women 25-54; men 25-55; and men 25-54, said network officials.

The show was also the top-ranked telecast of the night among all ad-supported cable telecasts -- excluding movies -- among several key demos including households, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49, adults 18-34, women 25-54, women 18-49, women 18-34 and women 25-54, said the network. Miss America 2010 marks the end of TLC's three-year distribution deal for the pageant, and it's unclear whether the network has plans to renew the agreement.

MISS AND MISTER AMERICA

MISS AND MISTER CORDOBA 2009-2010

Esther López, 22, and Rafael López, 24, are the new Miss and Mister Córdoba 2009-2010. They won their titles over the weekend. Esther stands 1m71 and is a student. Rafael stands 1m85 and is a bartender.

MISS AND MISTER MURCIA 2009-2010

Belén Matas, 19, and Francisco Mateo, 22 yrs. and 1m88, are the new Miss and Mister Murcia 2009-2010. They won their titles over the weekend. Belén stands 1m75. She is single and her favorite food is pizza. Franciso stands 1m88. He is single and his favorite food is paella. Both are law students.

First and second runners-up to the Miss Murcia title were Clara Bayarri Soriano and Marien Bastida López, respectively. First and second runners-up to the Mister Murcia title were Daniel García Saura and Manuel Calatayud Hernández, respectively.

Miss USA 2010 is set for Sunday, May 16, 2010, 7-9 p.m. ET, from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas at the Theatre for the Performing Arts. It will be televised on the US network NBC. The evening will be a “Trump” night as the live pageant will lead in to NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice,” which airs immediately following the telecast (9-11 p.m. ET).
